Todd Reid

Todd Reid

President

Mr. Reid has 28 years of experience as an energy industry leader.  He is a founding member of Bluewing Midstream and serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to establishing Bluewing Midstream, Mr. Reid held the position of Executive Vice President of Marketing, Risk Management, and Midstream with Energy XXI, helping to build the company from shortly after its inception.  In addition, he served as Chairman of the company’s Risk Management Committee.  During his tenure, Mr. Reid supervised EXXI’s marketing, hedging and midstream activities, and managed the company’s insurance portfolio. Prior to joining Energy XXI, Mr. Reid held numerous leadership roles in the energy industry, serving as President of Houston Research and Trading, Senior VP of Marketing and Risk Management at Duke Energy, Senior VP at NP Energy, and VP of Marketing and Risk Management at Dynegy. Mr. Reid’s entrepreneurial roots trace back to his days as a floor trader in Chicago, where he spent six years trading equity options.  He was a member of the Chicago Board Options Exchange and of the Chicago Board of Trade.  Mr. Reid holds a BS in Math and Physics from Illinois College and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Reid resides in Houston, TX, where he actively supports his community through involvement with local charities including Helping Friends, Search, Medical Bridges, Alley Theatre, BEAR, and the Weekley YMCA.  He and his wife Amy have two sons, Samuel and Will. He enjoys fly fishing, snow skiing and golfing.

Amanda Luckey

Amanda Luckey

Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations

Ms. Luckey is a founding member of Bluewing Midstream and serves on the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Bluewing Midstream, Amanda served as Senior Manager, Marketing & Risk Management with Energy XXI, a publicly-traded independent oil and natural gas producer focused on the Gulf of Mexico. Ms. Luckey directed all physical product pricing, sales, and transportation as well as commodity hedging strategy across the EXXI asset portfolio. Ms. Luckey and her team marketed crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids production for the largest public independent producer on the Gulf of Mexico shelf and managed pricing, sales, transportation, and processing of approximately 65,000 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day. Amanda is highly experienced in negotiation of crude and gas sales contracts, NAESBs, pipeline transportation agreements, and gas processing agreements. She developed and maintains relationships with a wide variety of counterparties and market participants including marketers, pipelines, and other producers. Counterparties included Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Kinetica, Enterprise, Targa, Trafigura, and Citibank. Ms. Luckey is a graduate of Texas A&M University and currently serves a Board Director of BEAR, a Houston-based charity aiding Harris County children in need.

Danny Malone

Danny Malone

Senior Vice President of Engineering and Construction

Mr. Malone is currently responsible for Operations, Engineering & Construction for Bluewing Midstream, LLC and its assets. Most recently, Danny held the position of US Construction & Capital Projects Manager at LBC Tank Terminals and oversaw the construction of over 3MM bbls of bulk liquid storage tanks, an Aframax capable ship dock, 2 barge docks and multiple rail lines. Mr. Malone is a broad based Capital Projects and Operations Executive with hands-on field and management experience on the owner side in gas, power and midstream with total capex oversight exceeding $2 Billion throughout his career. His previous experience includes Manager of Construction for Calpine Corporation where he was responsible for the construction of combined cycle power plants. Additionally, he spent time at Air Products as a Construction Superintendent responsible for the Luling, LA HyCO Facility Project and multiple Hydrogen Pipelines. Prior to his operational career, Mr. Malone spent 10 years in consulting at the world’s largest private and public executive recruiting firms, both Korn/Ferry International and SpencerStuart. He had roles of increasing responsibility beginning as an Intern, and moving through Research Analyst, Associate and Senior Associate positions where he focused on placing senior executives in the Energy Industry. Mr. Malone holds a MS in Construction Management from Purdue University, a BS in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston and an AA in Business Administration. He has three sons, Camden, Carter and Luke and has an active part in coaching youth sports.

Courtney Bates

Courtney N. Bates, CPA

Senior Vice President of Accounting & HR

Courtney N. Bates, CPA, is the Senior Vice President of Accounting & HR at Bluewing Midstream, LLC. Since joining the company in 2016, Mrs. Bates has been instrumental in establishing and overseeing the company’s accounting infrastructure, including the development of financial reporting systems, compliance processes, and internal controls. She is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including external & investor reporting, audit coordination, tax compliance, cash management, and financial planning & forecasting. In her leadership role, she also provides strategic guidance to support business operations, capital management, and long-term growth initiatives. Prior to Bluewing Midstream, Mrs. Bates spent four years in public accounting, most recently serving as a Senior Audit Associate at Whitley Penn, LLP, where she managed audit engagements for both public and private companies across a wide range of industries, including energy, manufacturing and distribution, software, and healthcare. She began her career with Hein & Associates, LLP, gaining extensive experience in financial audits, regulatory compliance, and client advisory services. Mrs. Bates is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She brings more than a decade of experience in accounting, audit, and financial leadership, with industry expertise spanning oil and gas, investment funds, software, and other sectors.

Matt McLeod

Senior Vice President of Finance & Operations

Matthew McLeod is the Senior Vice President of Finance & Operations at Bluewing Midstream, LLC. Since joining the company in 2019, Mr. McLeod has played a vital role in building and leading the company’s finance team as well as structuring and executing the company’s initial and subsequent senior secured credit facility. In addition to the corporate finance role, Mr. McLeod oversees the surety bond and insurance portfolios of Bluewing. He is similarly responsible for overseeing the operations teams in both Houston and Brownsville. Mr. McLeod has a wide array of knowledge in rail, truck and marine logistics. As a key member of the management team, he also provides strategic insight and problem-solving skills to support marketing, business development and various capital projects. Before joining Bluewing Midstream, Mr. McLeod spent five years in upstream marketing, trading and risk management as the Director of Marketing and Risk Management at Renaissance Offshore, an offshore Gulf of America operator. In this role, he managed all oil, natural gas & natural gas liquids, oversaw the entirety of the commodity hedge program, managed the insurance and surety bond portfolios, and managed all aspects of contracts associated with the marketing and trading role. He began his career in oil & gas with Energy XXI, a publicly traded Gulf of America operator, where he oversaw physical marketing, commodity hedging, the insurance and surety bond portfolios along with managing the negotiations of all ISDAs, NASBs & MSAs. Mr. McLeod earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law and Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. He brings nearly two decades of experience in finance, marketing, contract negotiation and operations across both upstream and midstream sectors.
